The Cuban Vintage City

Touring the first town founded in Cuba, visualizes abstractly yesteryear, when the Spanish conqueror Diego Velázquez on August 15, 1511 established Our Lady of the Assumption of Baracoa, a picturesque city that boosts its image despite the old the fortifications, streets, Public buildings and houses between the Caribbean Sea and green-crown-mountains.

Our gaze pauses on the colonial architecture between houses and buildings built in the last century stalked by the years and the inclemency of natural  phenomena, but the people of Baracoa insist on returning to build their dwellings that treasure life stories and the courage of Aborigine people like Hatuey and Guamá, the Catalan, French and Haitian emigrants, the Colonels of the War of Independence: Ruenes, Galano, among other heroes and martyrs of the neocolonial stage who took root in this Landscape City.
