A Journey at the Potical Song Festival in Guantanamo

The Politcal Song Festival is one of the oldest event of trova song in Cuba, that every year from  August 1st to 4 takes place in Guantanamo to bring together artists of  all Cuban provinces, who will play the socially committed song and perform poetry recitals, and display audiovisual products, as well as exhibition of visual and performing arts. A good moment to enjoy


 As main activity will be the traditional pilgrimage and the concert on August 4, at the foot of the obelisk erected to the revolutionaries fallen in Guantanamo the 4th of August 1957: Fabio Rosell, Gustavo Fraga, Enrique Rodriguez, Jesus Martin and Abelardo Cuza.

The event had its origins in 1976 by idea of ​​the Guantanamo troubadour Lorenzo Cisneros and other members of the then Brigada Hermanos Saiz, and since that time the event  have been honored by figures likes Silvio Rodriguez, Pablo Milanes, Sara Gonzalez and Blanca Augusto and other promoters-
